The 12,000 sq. ft. villa had 72 columns, all white. We had them marbleized Calcutta gold, to soften and make the space more elegant. We created a library with an upper level extension for continuity purposes and in a red bordeaux, to go with the floor in place. Red seating. The double height living room said ‘green’ to me, for India, and ‘round’ like the carpet and all sitting. 24’ tall drape velour panels, as well as motorized shades for the west exposure. A chateau-style fireplace surround in cast stone. Family room with opposite sectionals; one faces the fireplace, the other the TV.
